Main Duties
Job Summary
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant (CPA-T) to manage daily accounting operations and support the accuracy of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure timely preparation of financial statements, compliance with tax requirements, and smooth coordination of all accounting activities within our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure proper posting of transactions into accounting systems.
- Prepare and submit all statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, SDL, WHT, etc.) in line with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and update cash books, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounts.
- Support budget preparation and expenditure tracking.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Provide financial insights to support management in decision-making.
Other Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant – CPA (T) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial statements, and statutory returns filing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
