Main Duties

.Prepare and process shipping documents including Bills of Lading (BL), invoices, packing lists, delivery orders, and manifests
· Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines
· Maintain proper filing and record-keeping systems for all document
· Handle documentation for both import and export shipments
· Coordinate with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and shipping lines
· Track shipment documentation status and ensure timely clearance
· Ensure all documents comply with local and international shipping regulations
· Liaise with customs authorities and other regulatory bodies where necessary
· Stay updated on changes in documentation requirements and procedures
· Work closely with operations, finance, and customer service teams
· Communicate with clients regarding document requirements and updates
· Resolve documentation-related issues and discrepancies
· Enter and update shipment data in internal systems or ERP
· Maintain accurate digital records of all transactions
· Generate reports as required

Other Requirements

 .Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
· Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in shipping or logistics documentation
· Strong knowledge of import/export documentation and procedures
· Familiarity with customs processes and regulatory requirements
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Good communication and coordination skills
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Proficiency in MS Office and documentation/ERP systems
· Understanding of the local logistics environment
· Fluency in English and Swahili
