Main Duties
- To generate sustainable business growth by selling forklifts and material handling solutions, attracting new clients, retaining existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the industrial and ports segment
- The Material Handling (Forklift) Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth by promoting forklifts and related material handling solutions to industrial, warehousing, and port clients.
- This role requires strong business development skills, technical product knowledge, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within industrial and port sectors.
- Client Engagement: Assess customer needs, recommend suitable forklift models or leasing options, and provide tailored solutions.
- Sales Execution: Prepare and deliver presentations, quotations, and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable deals.
- Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in material handling.
- Collaboration: Work closely with service teams to ensure smooth after-sales support and client onboarding.
Other Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in material handling, heavy equipment, or industrial solutions.
- Strong knowledge of forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet/exceed sales targets.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently or in a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred) with 3-5 years of experience.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up-country for client site visits
Performance Metrics
- Achieve daily customer visits and sales calls, actively scanning the market to build and expand a new customer base.
- Achievement of monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Growth of client base in industrial and port segments.
- Customer satisfaction and retention rates.
- Contribution to overall revenue and margin goals
