Main Duties
-Carry out routine inspection checks daily on generators and the accessories.
-Starting, running, and stopping generator sets safely.
-Monitor generator performance parameters and take hourly records of operating parameters.
-Load control and optimization.
-Monitor alarms and system malfunction and communicate shutdown to site engineers as quickly and and safely as possible.
-Continously monitor generator SMU and communicate PM and maintanance requirements.
Other Requirements
-Mandatory hands-on knowledge of Caterpillar generator systems and repeated experience in generator startup and shutdown procedures, -Monitoring engine parameters, Alarm and trip response, and Load sharing and synchronization.
-Possess accurate parameter logging and precise communication operational observation.
-Must stay alert and pay attention to details.
-Must understand basic generator systems (Diesel/CFO fuel systems and Electrical systems - LV/MV generators) and Maintenance Scope (PM Intervals, Parts lifecycle/consumption forecasting, basic failures/repair on a Caterpillar generators)
-Very good command of written and spoken English
-Very good computer skills, including Microsoft Office package
