Main Duties
-Carry out basic PM on the generators.
-Carry out basic repairs like leakages on the generators.
-Work with the site engineers to carry out more technical repairs on the generators.
-Monitor generator performance parameters and take hourly records of operating parameters.
-Load control and optimization.
-Monitor alarms and system malfunction and communicate shutdown to site engineers as quickly and and safely as possible.
-Continously monitor generator SMU and communicate PM and maintanance requirements.
Other Requirements
-Monitoring engine parameters, Alarm and trip response, and Load sharing and synchronization.
-Mandatory familiarization with basic components of large Caterpillar generator components and be able to carry out basic repair and diagnosis.
-Must stay alert and pay attention to details.
-Must understand core generator systems (Diesel/CFO fuel systems and Electrical systems - LV/MV generators) and Maintenance Scope (PM Intervals, Parts lifecycle/consumption forecasting, basic failures/repair on a Caterpillar generators)
-Very good command of written and spoken English.
-Very good computer skills, including Microsoft Office package.
