Main Duties
- Oversee and manage daily operations related to clearing and forwarding activities.
- Coordinate import and export shipments, ensuring timely clearance and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international trade laws, and company policies.
- Liaise with customs authorities, shipping lines, port authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
- Supervise documentation processes including bills of lading, invoices, customs declarations, and shipping documents.
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure efficient coordination with logistics and transport teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, freight agents, and service providers.
- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Prepare operational reports and provide updates to management on shipment status and performance.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and documentation for all transactions.
Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in international clearing and forwarding operations.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs regulations.
- Good understanding of import/export documentation and logistics coordination.
- Strong leadership and operational management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
- Efficiency and timeliness of shipment clearance and delivery.
- Compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
