Main Duties
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and trace faults in mechanical and electrical systems and components for Perkins gas and diesel engines, generator sets, machine systems, and specialized units.
- Conduct inspection and commissioning of new Perkins equipment and complete the required DSR forms.
- Implement assigned electrical jobs, including electrolyte preparation and battery charging, in accordance with Perkins standards and without rework.
- Use appropriate diagnostic tools to accurately evaluate the performance of repaired components, units, and systems.
- Perform or coordinate essential mechanical works, contract servicing, and SOS functions as required.
- Identify and establish the parts required for assigned jobs and follow up on timely ordering and delivery.
- Report difficult or technical tasks to the appropriate authority for timely resolution.
- Sell parts and service products and maintain effective sales control systems.
- Actively manage and follow up on collections, invoices, payments, and related processes.
- Submit call login reports as required by the system.
Other Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

Good experience in carrying out major and minor repairs, servicing, and maintenance of Perkins engines and earth-moving equipment at both workshop and customer sites.

Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems and components.

Experience in electrical works, including battery charging and electrolyte preparation.

Experience in technical sales of parts and services is an added advantage.

Knowledge of Perkins products, services, and operations.

Good knowledge of gas and diesel engines, generator sets, and earth-moving equipment.

Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.

Ability to follow technical processes, procedures, and Perkins standards diligently.

Knowledge of equipment inspection, commissioning, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Ability to use diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and technical manuals effectively.

Ability to prepare service reports, DSR forms, call logs, and other technical documentation.

Knowledge of spare parts identification, inventory requirements, and ordering processes.
