Main Duties

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within shipping, logistics, and related sectors
· Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
· Promote shipping services including import/export, freight forwarding, and logistics solutions
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including freight forwarders, importers, and exporters
· Understand customer needs and provide customized shipping solutions
· Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations
· Generate leads through networking, referrals, and market research
· Maintain a strong sales pipeline and follow up on prospects
· Use CRM systems to track sales activities and customer interactions
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
· Identify new market opportunities and recommend strategies for growth
· Provide feedback to management on customer needs and service improvements
· Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and service agreements
· Negotiate contracts and close sales deals
· Ensure pricing aligns with company strategy and profitability targets
· Work closely with operations and documentation teams to ensure smooth service delivery
· Ensure customer requirements are met from booking to final delivery
· Address and resolve customer issues promptly

Other Requirements

 .Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or related field
· Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in sales within the shipping or logistics industry
· Strong understanding of shipping services, freight forwarding, and logistics operations
· Proven track record in achieving sales targets and business growth
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
· Strong customer relationship management skills
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office
· Strong knowledge of the local and regional shipping market
· Fluency in English and Swahili
