Main Duties

· Identify and generate new sales leads through networking, referrals, and market research
· Support the sales process by preparing quotations and following up on prospects
· Promote shipping services including import/export, freight forwarding, and logistics solution
· Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and requests
· Provide timely and accurate updates on shipment status
· Handle customer complaints and ensure quick resolution
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
· Understand customer needs and provide appropriate shipping solutions
· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retentio
· Coordinate with operations and documentation teams to ensure smooth shipment handling
· Follow up on bookings, cargo movement, and delivery schedules
· Ensure all customer requirements are met from inquiry to final delivery
· Ensure accuracy of customer-related documentation
· Support compliance with shipping and regulatory requirements
· Maintain records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems
· Track leads and follow up to convert them into business opportunities
· Support achievement of sales targets

Other Requirements

 .Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing or related field
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in shipping, logistics, or customer service role
· Good understanding of shipping processes, documentation, and logistics operations
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
· Basic sales and negotiation skills
· Ability to multitask and work under pressure
· Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
· Knowledge of the local shipping and logistics market
· Fluent in English and Swahili
