Main Duties

Overview

• We are currently in search of a highly strategic and experienced Strategic Finance Manager to lead our financial operations based out of Tanzania.

Job Description:

• The Strategic Finance Manager will be a crucial member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO. This role involves managing the company’s financial actions, including planning, risk management, and reporting.
• The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in corporate financial management, preferably with exposure to European markets, and a track record of successful financial leadership.

Responsibilities

• In the short term, take on bookkeeping responsibilities to align and organize the company’s accounts, transitioning these tasks to more junior staff as the finance team expands.
• Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial accounts, cash flows, and business models, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic decision-making.
• Provide strategic financial leadership and input on key organizational matters.
• Lead fundraising initiatives, establishing and nurturing relationships with investors and financial partners.
• Manage the financial due diligence and evaluation of potential acquisitions, with a focus on European-based companies.
• Develop and maintain robust financial systems and processes to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Collaborate closely with other executive team members to devise strategies that enhance both operational and financial performance.
• Foster the growth and development of the accounting and finance team in Tanzania, ensuring high performance and employee development.

Other Requirements

Qualification

• A minimum of 7 years of financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior financial leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, accounting standards, and industry best practices, with particular experience in European markets.
• Excellent written English and strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to navigate financial operations in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
• Experience in fundraising and managing financial relationships with European investors and financial institutions
• High integrity, dependability, a strong sense of urgency, and a results-oriented mindset
